Photos from Hurtt Family Visit

We've been lagging behind on our posts, so these pictures are from Labor Day weekend. Sheila, Chris and Aidan came up for 5 days. We had decent weather and lots of fun! Aidan got along great with Maren, but he would start to yell after a few minutes if his Mommy or Daddy was paying too much attention to the baby. Here's some pictures of Sheila enjoying both kiddos.

We took a couple of walks down to the pond in the little woods close to our house. Aidan was mesmerized by the duckies.

Here's the daddies having fun!

Aidan was sporting his Boise State shirt from Grandma Hurtt and reading a book about tractors. Uncle James taught him how to make tunnels for the train by using library books. "Tunnel" became Aidan's favorite new word that weekend.

While Sheila and Chris visited my parents' house, James and I took Maren and Aidan to our downtown farmers' market. We found it takes a lot more energy to look after two little ones!

For Aidan, the highlight was getting to sit in a real fire truck. Doesn't he look serious and ready to go?
He got an honorary fireman sticker, too!

On Labor Day, James made some special babyback ribs for the adults to enjoy after the kids went to sleep. The ribs took a couple of days and several steps to make, but they were delicious! James put them on the rib racks accompanied by some potatoes. I can almost smell them grilling from looking at this picture - yum!

It was a fun visit and we can't wait to see them again next month!
