A Taste of Edmonds

Maren and I have been going to the movies on Thursdays - there's a movie theater in Bellevue that shows movies especially for moms & babies at 10 a.m. They turn down the sound a bit and turn up the lights a bit, and the moms all park their strollers in the middle of the theater and take their babies to their seats. The best part is that the staff takes your order for concessions and brings them right to your seat! We've been meeting up with our friend Jennifer and her daughter Reese each week. Last week, we saw "Mamma Mia!" Very fitting.

We've been enjoying the nice weather and taking a walk almost every day along the waterfront by the marina.

Here's Maren after a bath, in her Bumbo seat.

Just look at those eyes! Still blue, though we expect them to change to brown eventually.

The Taste of Edmonds took place last weekend, and we went twice to try different foods. This will definitely be a fun event for Maren when she gets a bit older.

On Sunday we went to an outdoor concert, this time with Japanese Taiko drummers.

Maren seems to be growing so fast already. She slept for 10 hours the other night, but it's still not very predictable, so we take what we can get. We've figured out that she will take nice naps during the day if we swaddle her and put her in her baby swing, but I always hear from other parents that you can't get too cocky - when you think you've figured it out, your baby will change it up on you!
