A Nice Distraction

We're at our due date + 4 now, and while signs are pointing to us having the baby soon, we're just trying to be patient and take it as it comes. We're planning a natural childbirth, so it will be nice if we can just wait until Shrimp is ready to come out, without any plans to induce labor. It's so nice having my sister Sheila, her son Aidan, and her in-laws visiting us right now, because it helps keep me occupied instead of being bored just waiting around.

Aidan appears to be looking forward to meeting his new cousin! At our visit with the midwife yesterday, she guessed that Shrimp might weigh in at 9 pounds. It certainly looks that way from my big belly.

Coloring with Aidan - I did most of the coloring, but he added a few finishing touches.

Aidan is a true boy through and through. He loved looking around James's workshop with Pops and watching James mow the lawn.

We took the Hurtts to visit the local dog park, which includes a rocky beach. The weather has been surprisingly nice lately, so we have been able to get out and go for walks at the park. We don't have a dog of our own yet, but we like playing with other people's dogs for now.

Aidan has loved spending time at the beach and discovering all kinds of new things there! His grandma Roberta arrives tonight and everyone will stay through this Sunday. We'll see if Shrimp decides to come out before then!
